An Inquiry Chart is a graphic organizer that students use to generate meaningful
inquiry questions about a topic (e.g., pre-reading) and record information to answer those questions (e.g., while reading) in order to foster critical thinking, deepen reading comprehension, and help students organize their writing.

The overall structure was similar in each room: students were given time to brainstorm lists of things they were interested in, passionate
about, cared
about, etc and then students designed a project around one of these
topics starting with an
inquiry question that they would pursue.
Although it was an active
question, the «
inquiries» did not report on what was going on nor, it appears, did they even ask CRU scientists
about the
topic.
