Dog lovers should know that buying their dog license is the most important step that they can take to assure that important activities like
inspection of kennels continue to take place.

inspection of their kennels.
A pre-license
inspection of the kennel may result in additional cost of upgrades, etc..
We continuously monitor the reports generated by the USDA showing results of
the inspections of these kennels.
While some facilities do not allow visitors to come into the areas where animals are housed, there should be viewing windows allowing a visual

The U.S. Department
of Agriculture issued a press release this afternoon announcing the reinstatement
of its searchable online database that includes
inspection reports for commercial dog - breeding
kennels.
As a result
of that
inspection, the city determined that Martin's use
of the property falls within the definition
of a «
kennel» in the zoning code and thus requires a special use permit to operate in her residential zoning district.
They will be responsible for annual
inspections and investigation
of complaints for over 3,000 dog
kennels.

The United States Department
of Agriculture Animal and Plant Health
Inspection Service (USDA APHIS) records show that this
kennel housed 133 adult dogs and 110 puppies in June
of 2008, which indicates it is a commercial breeding operation.

inspections from August 2005 to January 2008.

of the breeders to be regulated; aggressive enforcement with more than a biennial state
inspection; a dog auction ban; and high care standards including reasonably sized
kennels instead
of cages; unfettered access to dog runs; and regular veterinary care.
