Combining audio, architecture, sculpture,

Daniel Arsham: Hourglass» will extend the
artist's investigation into how we interpret history through physical artifacts and will immerse audiences in environments that reflect on the relationship between past and present.
And also the work of other
artists: a foam couch by John Chamberlain, a big swatch of stripes from one of
Daniel Buren's
installations.
The exhibition includes four new site - specific
installations as well as three floors of sculpture, painting, video, works on paper and performance - based work from an impressive group of

Contemporary
artist Daniel Arsham will be coming to the High Museum of Art this spring to install three interrelated
installations in the museum's interiors, in an effort co-organized by the
Daniel Arsham Studio and the High Museum of Art in collaboration with Galerie Perrotin, New York.
New to this production is scenography created by
artist Daniel Arsham, whose
installation, Hourglass, is currently on exhibit at the High Museum through May 21.
Active in museum education since 1981, she has co-produced multimedia productions, educational
installations, and public offerings in collaboration with
artists including Matthew Barney,
Daniel Buren, Cai Guo - Qiang, Paul McCarthy, Catherine Opie, Gabriel Orozco, and James Rosenquist.
For the exhibition, the Museum commissioned 17
artists to create large - scale
installations in its
Daniel Libeskind - designed Frederic C. Hamilton Building.
Although the six
artists in this
installation — Walead Beshty,
Daniel Gordon, Leslie Hewitt, Carter Mull, Sterling Ruby, and Sara VanDerBeek — represent diverse points of view, working methods, and pictorial modes ranging from abstract to representational, their images all begin in the studio or the darkroom and result from processes involving collection, assembly, and manipulation.
