Today, they finally revealed that feature: it's special data packs that can be downloaded on the console, and which will improve the loading times for the retail version (does not apply to the digital version, since it's already
installed on the external hard drive!).
Those data packs are
installed on the external hard drive, and are meant to speed up loading times.
If you're upgrading, you can remove that pain completely by having all your games already
installed on an external hard drive.
It is also being reported that the compatible NVIDIA GameStream service is also seeing an update to its performance, while there is also some enhancements being made to the ability to use apps
installed on an external hard drive or SD card.
