let's face it, everyone and his brother has known what our deficiencies have been
for several years, so why can't our management team seem to identify our weaknesses and aggressively target the necessary additions... the only plausible answer is we aren't willing to pay even close to market value

players we clearly need and if we do actually get to the table we seem to make
insulting bids that simple infuriate the team in question...
for years Wenger has said he couldn't find any world class
players to fill our voids, which seems to suggest that he thinks we currently have upwards of 40 world class
players on our existing roster... if that is the case he should never be in charge of making personnel decisions... buying late in the window is so problematic,
for obvious reasons, and especially since this year was supposed to be different (sarcasm)
There are so many issues that the memory fades from many of them, however I always thought the Suarez debarcle was one of the worst, Regardless of if Suarez was an «Arsenal
Player» or not noone can doubt that he would have scores all of the goals that welbeck, Walcott and Giroud have missed and scored a number on top of that had he played
for the AFC, the problem came with the desultory
bid of $ 6 million plus a pound, this was always going to get right up the liverpool owners nose and was an
insult from the offset in my mind this was done deliberately by Wenger and the board in order to say to the AFC fans that «well we tried to get him but....»
then their fans got too big
for their boots, they were shocked we came in with a low starting
bid to sign baines and fellaini (even though we have been selling them good
players on the cheap
for years) and then went on to leak the story to the press making out we are
insulting them!..
Wenger I have to admit is very clever in the way he manages to do this every year, putting in
insulting bids to other clubs that even us arsenal fans know are way under the asking price so that it looks like an attempt was made, really its just
for show, then he talks in extremes about how signing
players for 25M will result in a football clubs implosion which is also utter nonsense, the money arsenal have brought in on
player sales alone in recent seasons should merit some reinforcement, let alone the emirates revenue, tv money and sponsorship deals.
