The site uses
interactive graphical tools to help users find information about the court, the justices and the cases, with links to analytical and legal materials, including motions, briefs and opinions.
Tools such as Game Maker, Flixel, RPG Maker and Twine — a
tool for making
interactive fiction — now let budding developers start making games by dragging objects about in a
graphical interface or simply by writing text.
As a proof of concept to this strategy, at UVa we built a visualization
tool, the SHANTI
Interactive Visualization App (SHIVA)[3] that successfully leveraged a number of these external resources to create a tool that took data stored on Google Docs spreadsheets, images from Flickr, videos from YouTube and Vimeo, online maps, charts, graphs, word clouds, and timelines that makes it easy to create interactive graphica
