Interest: Portraits from the Whitney's Collection, in a section called «Cracked Mirror,» which featured portraiture from the years before, during and immediately after World War II.
The centerpiece
of the
exhibition is the floor sculpture 3D 1 72 (1972) made up
of 13
parts fitting along the contours
of a distorted grid and encapsulating Moon's
interest in movement and his desire to expand painting into architecture.
«it is this flash itself that seduces» is an
exhibition part of Friends with Books Programmes, the artists» works all elicit a shared
interest in books and publications and the differing forms
of «pleasure» they may evoke, such as voyeurism, the desire for knowledge, escape, and material possession.
In Big Woman Statue the unidentified hand suggests a void or an unavailability, leaving room for imagination
of whether or not there is another human figure, reinforcing the
exhibition project's overall
interest in the absence and presence
of bodies as well as the tension between the whole body and its
parts.
As

exhibition history, the «remembering
exhibition,» the term introduced by art historian Reesa Greenberg, has a special place.8 In the past five years alone, remembering

exhibition Things, Mereology and Schemes is a new body
of work focused on three main topics
of particular
