The museum is a great resource for College of Art & Design students — gallery talks, receptions, art unveilings for new acquisitions, community programs, and exhibitions from renowned local, national, and international artists are just some of the events the Baton Rouge and LSU community has come to cherish and embrace.

Established American galleries include L.A.'s David Kordansky and New York's Paula Cooper, Jay Gorney / Derek Eller and White Columns; international dealers come from London, Brussels, Glasgow, Berlin and Madrid.

The international market for contemporary African art is certainly on the rise and as a result, a number of galleries that represent artists from the continent are focusing their energy on establishing themselves in the larger art centres of Europe, the U.S and East Asia whilst also exploring the African continent to tap into the huge amount of talent which is coming to the fore.

Since its founding 25 years ago, arteBA has established itself as one of the most important fairs in Argentina and as a meeting point where international galleries and their artists come together with collectors, art professionals, museums and other cultural institutions.

This February, the art fair is coming back with more exciting program than ever and, led by the fair's new director Grela Orihuela, brings around 70 international galleries presenting emerging, cutting edge, contemporary and modern works.

Art Radar previews PHOTOFAIRS Shanghai, which will present 50 leading galleries from 15 countries, featuring a unique and diverse selection of emerging, up - and - coming and established international photographers.
