The expert periodic review calls for improved access to effective remedies from Canadian courts and for more continuing judicial and professional education
on international human rights law implementation.
The specific question that concerns me here is whether the current
international human rights regime can provide us with meaningful moral and legal guidance for the solution of these moral choices.

Seems the government needs to be reminded that the entire
international human rights system, which Canada played such key roles in creating and strengthening, turns on the notion of universality: Universal Declaration of Human Rights, Universal Periodic Review.
