Conceived to reflect the spirit of today's most innovative practices, Intervals invites a diverse range of artists to create new work for
the interstitial spaces of the museum, in individual galleries, or beyond the physical confines of the building.

Both artists are know in Pittsburgh primarily as sculptors; Boan for his contribution to the 2011 Pittsburgh Biennial
of curious casts exploring
interstitial spaces and detritus found in the basement
of the Carnegie
Museum of Art, and Beauregard for his 2012 solo show at the Pittsburgh Center for the Arts, which presented carefully rendered yet violently toned objects intertwining themes
of Italian Futurism, Gialo, and Cult Cinema.
We each get one floor
of the Marcel Breuer building and we will share the
interstitial spaces offered up by the
museum: lobby gallery, courtyard, theater, etc..
