I am really
into sheet cakes right now... no particular reason why, but they are functional, casual and great for serving a crowd.
Lately I've been very
into sheet cakes including this yellow sheet cake with chocolate ganache frosting.
I use the cakes baked in the shallow half sheet pans to make thinner cakes which I layer
into sheet cakes, or to cut, sometimes with cookie cutters into individual portions.
Not exact matches
The simple masa dough is soft enough to be pressed
into almost an ideal thickness with one motion of the press, and then I quickly roll it a bit thinner between two
sheets of thick plastic or unbleached parchment paper, cut it with a
cake cutter, and
into the skillet it goes.
Roll the
cake into 1 inch balls and place on a parchment covered baking
sheet.
Line a baking
sheet with parchment paper and take small handfuls of the crab
cake mixture, forming them
into patties, around an inch thick or so
Once firm, you can easily break the
sheet of bark
into shards to layer and decorate the sides of your
cake.
I was met with cookies that spread ALL OVER the baking
sheet, cookies that didn't spread at all, cookies that looked perfect but had the texture of crumbly
cake, and cookies that seemed to melt

Summer might be over (as of yesterday) but zucchini still abounds and my favorite way to get rid of it is to stuff it
into baked goods - quick breads, muffins, brownies,
sheet cake, cupcakes, and today, pancakes.
Instead of cupcakes, I decided to pour the batter
into my large Sam's Wholesale Club cookie
sheet to make
cake squares.
Bake for 27 to 30 minutes for
sheet cake or cupcakes, or until knife inserted

Things I changed: - cut the sugar by about half, using mostly dark brown sugar for the molasses kick - scratched the nutmeg and allspice but added about 1/3 extra of all of the other spices and also added nearly a tsp of ground cardamon - replaced the veggie oil with melted leaf lard - scratched the raisins - baked it on a deep
sheet for only ~ 20 minutes - just barely until firm to the touch - then cut that
sheet into three layers - replaced the icing with my own 16 ounce cream cheese, 8 ounce butter, ~ 6 ounce heavy cream, ~ 5 ounce honey, 1 tsp vanilla combo - toasted the coconut before dressing the
cake.
Place cut rolls
into cake pan or onto baking
sheet about 1 - inch apart from each other.
However I added something I saw on the March Stewart site and baked the
cake on a cookie
sheet and after the
cake cooled cut them
into hearts with a cookie cutter!
Place pan on a rimmed baking
sheet and bake
cake until top is golden brown and a
cake tester inserted
into the center comes out clean, 45 — 55 minutes.
When you are ready to make the
cake, pre-heat the oven to 170 °C, gas mark 3, then place the nuts on a baking
sheet and pop them
into the oven.
