Blogging is one of those activities which can really eat
into your evenings and weekends whether photographing,
writing, editing or social networking
for posts, or just catching up with everyone else's hard work.
My friend Jenni of The Gingered Whisk — fellow Daring Baker, Sourdough Surpriser, and all around awesome lady — just recently had a baby girl, and back in the summer she asked me to
write a guest
post for her while she takes some time off from blogging to settle
into life as a momma of two.
I am definitely not the expert when it comes to putting meal planning
into practice, so I really

writing about an array of topics, including all of the ones just mentioned, so hopefully you'll spot at least a few
posts each month that tie
into your favourite topics.
I started my blog a couple of months ago and now I'm a bit more
into the swing of it I want to start looking at how to improve and what I want to achieve, so there's loads
for me to think about here:) My favourite
posts of your are outfits, blogging tips and career tips — particularly when you combine outfit photos with
writing about work / career!
Jess has a
post coming up really soon about our photographic workflow
for Chronically Vintage, but it was
written a little earlier in the year, so it doesn't go
into detail about our current lighting set up.
I am determined to make it spring outside... I am over the slushy sidewalks, constant fear of snow screwing up my commute and the fact that it makes me sleepier than usual (case in point I am practically falling asleep while
writing this... in case you didn't know, I
write my
posts the night before they are published... 9/10 times I am wrapped in a towel with wet hair laying on my bed having the constant battle in my head of whether to
write the
post or pass out... clearly we see what won...
writing the
post haha) I LOVE color year round, so it's no surprise that
for one of the freezing days at NYFW I decided to wear shades of white, blue and black (all I am missing is gold and it could potentially be #The Dress... seriously didn't understand that whole craze
for all of 24 hours haha) Anyways... Back to what I am wearing and how it can transition perfectly
into the spring.
But it's easy
for me to go
into my editorial calendar and switch things up, fill in missing information, and see what content I need to start
writing for upcoming
posts.
If I didn't know better, I'd say he actually likes
writing these
posts, even if he'd rather poke a sharp stick
into his eye than go shopping
for clothes!
And since it is kind of a truism that «there is nothing new under the sun,» with that many people
writing stuff and fewer and fewer people just looking
for something new to read, that many bloggers are investing a ton of time and energy
into writing blog
posts, and then fly around to the various blog hops or linky parties and drop links hoping that more people will find us and read our blog
posts.
We
wrote this a million times and we don't know if any went through, here we go again LOL When starting our blog we didn't realize how much time and effort went
into it, it takes hours just
for one
post we totally agree!
