This situation is fitfully amusing in itself, but the fun really begins when Nell and Dinah uncover an insidious
plot involving corporate
espionage and murder.
Suddenly this might as well be «Fringe» or «Warehouse 13» or «The X-Files» or «Eureka» or any one of hundreds of shows that
involve FBI agents and international
espionage and terrorist thugs and secret
plots to take over the universe.
There's a
plot, of course, a meticulously constructed but still thoroughly conventional script by Lem Dobbs that
involves outsourced international
espionage, corrupt players, dirty tricks, and righteous vengeance, and gives accomplished supporting players Michael Fassbender, Ewan McGregor, Antonio Banderas, and Michael Douglas plenty of opportunity to play around in entertainingly stylized performances.
There were three in 1967 alone — «Fathom,» with Raquel Welch as Fathom Harvill, an American skydiver who gets caught up in an atomic spy
plot; «Caprice,» with Doris Day as an industrial cosmetics designer
involved in corporate
espionage; and the virtually lost «Come Spy With Me,» with model - actress Andrea Dromm as an agent thwarting a
plot to assassinate world leaders.
The game is a major departure from the series political
espionage plot and is the first game in the franchise that doesn't have creator Hideo Kojima
involved.
