Still, there's
an ironic punch line to the case: Because the stolen Bitcoins were sold right away, allegedly by Vinnik and long before Mt. Gox disclosed the hack, victims lost much more, in dollar value, than the hackers ever made — which, according to Chainalysis, was only about $ 20 million.
It certainly has its jokes, including a pointless opening sequence that seems to exist only for a
punch line and a horse thief whose sole purpose is to provide
ironic humor, but most if not all of this dialogue needs to be delivered with tongue firmly in cheek.
