There was something about this corner with all of that
ironstone and the little primitive touches that truly made it have it an old fashioned farmhouse Christmas feel, or
at least how I imagine it would be.

at Goodwill years ago, with some faux paper white bulbs from Magnolia.

ironstone I purchased
at a local antique mall as well as the antique silver flatware.
Next came a white lacy plate which is part of a set of Rachel Ashwell Shabby Chic
ironstone that I bought on clearance
at Target several years ago.
Tere bought the set of framed prints
at a flea market for only $ 94; she's collected the
ironstone for years.
I also was recently
at one of my favorite Flea Markets and scored these gorgeous Blue
Ironstone plates from one of my all time favorite Bloggers, Farmhouse 5540.
One of my «pickers» brought me a load of
ironstone (plus I brought in some pieces from my house) and I found some goodies
at a local antique shop.
Yesterday, I walked into
ironstone heaven
at a local thrift store.

I kept the pears out I had
at Thanksgiving and I'm hoping to add to my
ironstone collection.
All the plates are newish,
ironstone equivalents are easily found these days
at Homegoods and even Target.
Another thing that I look for while
at yard sales or thrift stores is white creamware or
ironstone.
It once housed many tools and supplies
at a local hardware store but since bringing it into our home, we have filled it to the brim with our
ironstone and Dundee marmalade jar collections.
I like to mix my
ironstone with white serving pieces that I have picked up
