compared endogenous (made in the body) hormone levels in women and men who had an

ischemic heart disease, 2.4 times more likely to have had a
stroke, 2.4 times more likely to have ever had hepatitis or jaundice, and 2.2 times more likely to report fair or poor health
compared to those with no exposure to ACEs.
