Here, we show that the aforementioned 2D - zeolite models can trap individual Ar atoms in the nano - cages that make the surface, providing a new playground for the fundamental study of
isolated noble gas atoms in confinement with surface science methods.
A colorless, odorless, tasteless
noble gas, krypton occurs in trace amounts in the atmosphere, is
isolated by fractionating liquefied air, and is often used with other rare
gases in fluorescent lamps.
