of tax law at Queen's University, was retained by the panel to research a number
of issues, including interest deductibility and
double -
dipping.
May I suggest that it would be much better to provide a whole week
of Back - Bench business, so that all the matters that I am sure Government Members would like to debate, such as why the European Commission is demanding an increase
of 7 % in its budget, and all the
issues that Opposition Members would like to discuss, such as the
double -
dip recession, can be put not only to Ministers, but to the Prime Minister, who will be avoiding Prime Minister's questions for another two weeks?
So not directly a state employee, avoids all those picky little questions about
double dipping, conflict
of interest, and possible revolving door
issues.
This is great to see, but does
of course run into that
issue of people not buying it because it's not in print, which hinders its ability to ever see print, but those who do buy it digitally likely won't buy it in print because its a
double -
dip.
Unfortunately, this travel credit will be
issued per cardmember year, so you won't be able to
double dip after the turn
of the calendar year.
In Parrett v Parrett the BC Court
of dealt with the pension income
double dipping issue involving a retired BC Supreme Court Judge and focused on requiring the wife to use her money from the pension buyout to earn income and then used only the undivided portion
of the husband's pension income for grey divorce spousal support by applying the spousal support advisory guidelines.

of competition unleashed by the Legal Services Act 2007 (LSA 2007), the move to outcome focused regulation, and maybe even some time to dwell on the brutal LASPO cuts as
of next April — and yet still they didn't come.
In re Marriage
of Blazer, (August 25, 2009)(partially unpublished) The California Court
of Appeal considered two
issues of first impression: whether an owner's capital account in a small, closely held company should count toward his income for determining spousal support; and whether the ultimate support award, when combined with the disposition and division
of the business as a going concern, constitutes an impermissible «
double dip» into the income stream
of the business and
of the owner - spouse.
Indeed Senator Williams
issued a statement on the last day
of the legislative session in which he recognized that Judge Dyche was qualified for the position on the Worker's Compensation Board, but he felt the fact that Dyche would have been eligible to
double dip would have been a bad precedent.
