State lawmakers have held three hearings on water
issues over the last several weeks, and Gov. Andrew Cuomo this month signed legislation that would require all schools to test for lead in school drinking water.
But while the governor has wielded his veto threat, he seems to be softening his language on
the issue over the last several weeks and has rarely used the word «veto» when it comes to redistricting and is pushing more of the onus onto the courts (a fact that Reid Pillifant of Capital New York picked up on yesterday).
