'm not sure if there
's a set rule of when to

worn item of the
year.
I think outerwear decreased so much (7 down from 13 last
year) because I didn't put my utilitarian outerwear in my Stylebook app and I've
been getting rid of my least
worn items.
A skirt
is a perfect
item to
wear year around.
This list
is made up of entirely
items that I've only
worn one time in the past
year.
It
is a must have
item in every closet and it can
be worn nearly any day or season of the
year.
These
are the
items that I will reach for on a Monday morning, the
items that I can
wear all day around my house, and have in my wardrobe for
years.
With that
being said, these
items are probably not something that you can
wear for the next 10
years.
It
's always a struggle to find pieces that
are trendy, but also classic enough to last in your wardrobe for multiple
years — you don't want to
be breaking your bank for an
item you
're only gonna
wear a couple of times.
The trench coat
is one of those staple outer
wear items that no matter what
year, what century & what season, it works.
This
is one of those
items that
is a GREAT investment piece and something you can
wear year after
year - and with a bump!)
(And if you
are wondering, yes, I still would
wear that outfit four
years later and I still own each
item!).
Especially, when this
is contrasted with Susie Faux's original capsule wardrobe concept of around a dozen
items meant to
be worn year - round, every
year.
And considering a cape
is one of those
items you may not
wear for 20
years, it could
be smart to get it from a company that doesn't charge an arm and a leg.
I complement it with my white frame sunglasses instead (white frame sunglasses
are another absolutely timeless
item that I have
been wearing and enjoying for many
years!).
These
items will
be worn year after
year and never go out of style so they
're worth saving up for.

Denim Jacket: This

item I
wear over and over all throughout the

're drawn to so many sale
items and since summer
is coming to an end, we start thinking how to
wear them in the fall too.
During the last
year I've
been getting rid of more than I bought so that in the end (it
's still a work in progress, but so
are we) I will have more or less only
items I love to
wear in there.

These closet staples
are items that can
be worn year after
year and that never go out of style.
No matter what, there will
be some
items you just won't
wear year round (for me that
is rompers, shorts and sandals).
I have added a couple of small, tasteful pieces to Holly's updated look because I think that after all these
years Holly should finally get her «little blue box» from Tiffany's, which should
be incorporated into her outfit because I think that she'd
wear these
items with pride for her everyday look.

's day Most of the time I
'm not
wearing special earrings or necklaces, but I
'm addicted to rings and watches — I would never leave the house without these goodies.:) I

wearing some special black jeans and a new blouse and espadrilles I found at Uterque when I arrived in Palma (you might saw both

I have
items I haven't
worn in
years, and there
's no way they
are going anywhere — they just go into a longer rotation (I can't

Yes, it
's nice to have a pop of color like the red tops or some flowery prints, but

are classics, and I hope to
wear for several
years like these shorts, I try to keep pretty basic.
My long cardigans

years.
The sweater
is a perfect clothing
item, because you can
wear it all
year.
There
are so many adorable baby boy clothing
items, and I love that so many of them could
be worn year round.
And along with the things I love about spring
is the range of clothing
items that you can
wear this time of
year that you can't
wear at any other time.
One
item I
wear tons
year round
is my blue denim jacket.
My selections in each Nordstrom sale aren't always the cheapest
items and that
's because I gravitate towards classic
items I'll
wear for
years.
Got ta love the

years — they
're few and far between.
