in battle to assist them, or having to
battle them first and then they join you, but while I would
like to applaud its story for the way it does mirror that of one you'd expect from a lesser Fire Emblem game, but there can be no denying that despite the approach taken, it's story does feel
like that of Fire Emblem Heroes and Hyrule Warriors slapped together with some of the names,
items and minor details changed to something else.
And I'm sure there's more minute differences that I can't think of right now that I enjoy
in P3rd (
like taking a bath
in a hot spring to get stat boosts instead of eating food
like other MH games, or having to unlock said status boosts by doing specific quests rather than having them handed to you freely simply for progressing through the game... or that felyne inside quests that you can give
items to send back to your
item box
in your home to free up inventory space, making it possible to gather resources while still packing a full inventory for
battle... or the fact you get a 4th page on your inventory specific for carves and gathering while
in the quest... stuff that generally make the game more fun and convenient).
Like other Monster Hunter games,
items are super important
in and out of
battle.
Either way, there are plenty of modes — from adventure to Victory Road, free
battle, and so on — and enough stuff
like cards and other non-character
items to unlock and purchase with
in - game funds to keep the most obsessive player busy for quite some time.
- Ophilia and Cyrus have been announced as the last two playable characters - Cyrus is a scholar working at the royal university who is an incredibly curious and knowledgeable person - Cyrus» Path Action is «Explore» which lets him find out hidden details and information about other characters - during combat, Cyrus can reveal the weaknesses of enemies and exploit them using fire, ice and lightning magic - Ophilia is a priestess and her Path Action is Lead, which allows her to guide characters to certain places by having them follow -
in combat, she's a classic white mage - type who can heal allies, buff their stats and use light magic to attack the enemy - Ophilia can also call upon the character she's guiding to aid her
in battle - character's special abilities are called Talents - Olberic can take hits
in place of other characters
in battle - Primrose,
like Ophilia, can call upon the character she has charmed and have them aid her
in battle - Tressa can sometimes find money simply by walking around the overworld - Alfyn can mix
items to damage enemies or heal allies - Therion can unlock treasure chests - H'aanit can capture beasts during combat - your active
battle party can consist of four characters, but you can swap them out with the other four characters at any time - even after you've met up with the other playable characters, you can still pursue each character's individual story - you do this by making them the «main» character of your current party

in town you can visit shops, talk to people and accept a quest - the quest puts you
in the middle of a volcano - your end goal is defeating the gigantic fire beast Ifrit - team up with a Goblin and Chocobo - fight multiple enemies, including some unfriendly Chocobo - enemies leave behind loot

items and materials for crafting - by pressing L or R, you get access to four attacks - attack names include Plunder Slash, Mercurial Thrust and Trinity - charge a power meter and then hit L+R at the same time for special movies - one special lets you change into Cloud with very powerful attacks - run with the B - button - camera switching is handled by the D - Pad - info on the upper screen that gives you constant
battle updates - bottom screen shows the status of all the characters, plus a map
The side quests, which will garner new
items, armor and weapons,
like the aptly - named Auto Axe, should at least make fighting
in the
battle area worth the price of admission.
Online mode is where most players will end up spending their time, although I
liked to dip into the Treasure

items such as clothing and accessories and strange accroutments such as different impact effects and ghosts that hover around your character.

in one hit even if you have 6 hearts - you can wander into areas with enemies that will take you out easily - cook a bunch of hot pepper meals to take into the snow areas to stop losing hearts from shivering - Serene Stable is one of the stables you'll come across - you can go down to the bottom of a ravine and explore - Bosh Kala Shrine is one of the shrines you can find - one shrine has a puzzle where you use your control wind vents with your magnet tool to roll a ball to a goal - almost all shrines have an extra chest
in them to grab
You'll get a look at the turn - based grid combat, and you'll get to see some of the neat features,
like how Kintaro can use his Gather Herbs skill to harvest healing
items while
in battle.
You collect power ups for stat boosts, such as a dead puppies head, and
items to assist you
in battle,
like your Mum's used pad.
Win
items for your custom Pirate ship
in the fun free mini games, and fight tough boss
battles to collect rare gear
like Pirate swords and epic outfits.

in previously, so don't expect many to be made available quickly, as the
battles are typically at the end of chapters, some of which can be up to three hours long.

items and magic are somewhat underutilized as your primary weapon is often the most effective tool
in battle, and
like any good
battle system, some attacks are better than others.

in his mouth when he inhales — Then Link can follow up with a combo ending with a fatal downward slash — Zelda uses a glowing rapier to fight — Has a combo where she darts left and right — Zelda has 3 orbs — You can charge these by pressing heavy attack and then use orbs as combo finishers
