My favorite way to eat
almond butter is straight out
of the
jar!
4 cups
of black rice cooked according to package instructions 4 large carrots, peeled and diced 2 celery stalks, chopped 4 cloves
of garlic, minced Olive oil Leftover black beans (1 cup or so) 1 jalapeno, diced 1 pepper, diced 1/2 cup
of toasted slivered
almonds Salt 4 scallions, trimmed and slices 6 - 8 chives, chopped Balsamic vinegar or 1 cup
of fresh or
jarred salsa would also be a great dressing!
No more chunks
of hardened
almond butter stuck in the bottom
of the
jar!
I finally managed to whittle down my out -
of - control nut butter stash to just 2
jars — 1 peanut, 1
almond (coconut butter and tahini don't count) but then my cupboard was looking a little bare so I had to restock again -LRB-!)
I also had a
jar of raw chocolate and
almond spread that I hadn't yet used and thought this would be suitable for the chocolate element.
Add 100g cubed feta, followed by the seeds
of 1/2 a pomegranate, ⅛ cup
of mixed nuts and seeds
of your choice (I used pumpkin seeds and
almonds), and lastly a sprig
of mint into each
jar.
I'm lucky that my local hfs in Bath has

I made a fabulous parfait in a small jelly
jar with layers
of sliced bananas, dollop
of peanut or
almond butter, drizzle
of honey, chia seed pudding, sprinkle
of hemp seeds, sliced bananas, dollop
of peanut or

Place the
almonds in the glass
jar with a large pinch
of sea salt and enough filtered water to completely submerge them.
* Be sure to 100 % natural

I don't typically like
almond butter, but in an Epicurious taste test to declare the absolute best
almond butter among the growing number
of jars that line grocery store shelves, I found one that I actually loved.
I use a non stick baking mat on top
of a baking sheet, mostly to make it super easy to dump the roasted
almonds into my storage
jar once cooled!
