These brilliant red berries also happen to be loaded with vitamins and antioxidants that are great for our health, so they are a fall flavor that both we and our doctors can get behind (that is, assuming you manage to eat some whole cranberries and not
just jellied cranberry sauce!).
In case you haven't looked, these are the ingredients in Ocean
Spray Jellied Cranberry Sauce (used to be my favorite)... Cranberries, high fructose corn syrup, water, corn syrup.
I'm making goose, a roast, sausage stuffing, roasted yams, candied yams, stuffed mushrooms and
jellied cranberry sauce.
Top with
the jellied cranberry sauce and walnuts.
I have used the grape jelly recipe except instead of using the jelly, used canned
jellied cranberry sauce.
I think whole or
jellied cranberry sauce would work fine, depending on your personal preference.
Then you mix together your Sriracha,
jellied cranberry sauce, brown sugar and honey, and pour it over the meatballs.
Although I loved the canned
jellied cranberry sauce that we always ate on Thanksgiving when I was young, after I tried making cranberry sauce from scratch one year, I was hooked.
