etc... People's feelings are real; but their opinions?
Wake up people, MAKE politicians answer questions and come up with solutions for the problems that matter (economy, wealth disparity,
lost jobs etc etc), whether or not your kids learn the theory of evolution in school will be of little comfort if they have no home to go to after school.
But when workers
lose their
jobs, health care, homes
etc They are considered lazy and not taking responsibility for themselves?

The real terrorists, which I prefer to label «greedy f# * ks, are the corporations big enough to take their operations to third world companies where they can get away with paying people 40 cents a day, can evade all responsibility for shoddy buildings collapsing and killing / injuring a thousand people, where workers have to handle toxic chemicals without any protection (or
lose their
jobs)
etc etc etc..
However, if someone who is poor, or even middle class, runs into some hurdle, they
lose their
job or are disabled
etc, the government will be responsible for supporting them.
But honestly i just
lost a major
job house
etc and moved here.
It's only as Shepard begins emphasizing more traditional plot elements that Dom Hemingway begins to
lose its grip on the viewer, as the film's second half has been suffused with developments of a disappointingly hackneyed nature (eg Dom attempts to reconnect with his estranged daughter, Dom tries to find a legitimate
job,
etc,
etc).
If something disastrous happens, (you
lose your
job, get in a serious car accident, your kid comes down with cancer,
etc,) it will put tremendous strain on your financial resources.
Let alone the easiest of situations to imagine (she's late on the rent, she
loses her
job and can't pay,
etc) you'll be forced to make decisions about how much your desire to love and care for her outweighs your need to pay your mortgage.
The people who really understand historic climate cycles are the geologists in the private sector (the ones in the government sector don't count as they mostly have to sing to the AGW song sheet or
lose their
jobs / grants / careers
etc).
The reasons why no country has done it yet are political — industries that don't have much future complain that if the government makes deep reductions in emissions, then the sky will fall in,
jobs will be
lost, the industry will move overseas
etc etc..
If you become sick (cancer,
etc) and are no longer insurable and then
lose your
job (perhaps because you can no longer work because of you illness), you won't be able to get life insurance.
Some day, when my youngest son moves out (he had moved out, but
lost job, came back to do master work, had to drop out because of national guard interfering with his practice teaching schedule......
