Players have a variety of control schemes available — a lone JoyCon on its side, two JoyCons in
the JoyCon Grip, a Switch Pro Controller, and motion controls with a JoyCon used like a steering wheel — and less confident players can activate the new Smart Steering feature that will prevent them from driving off the course.
Playing with a pro controller or
Joycon grip is also good too!
A JoyCon grip comes in the box, allowing you to attach the controllers and play with a traditional layout.
The JoyCon Grip changes that, taking the JoyCon from flat and uncomfortable, to a near - perfect game controller.
Ultimately though, I recommend you hold fire and mess about with the standard
JoyCon Grip first.
Although the JoyCon sat in
the JoyCon Grip are an ideal way to play games for long periods of time, the Nintendo Switch Pro Controller is definitely going to be a firm favorite for a lot of people.

There's one far bigger flaw surrounding the
JoyCon — be it in the
Grip or on their own — and it's one that really needs to be addressed pronto if Nintendo doesn't want a PR disaster on its hands.

The Switch comes with the console itself, the two
Joycon controllers, two
Joycon wrist straps (which attach to the sides of each controller, and also provide larger side buttons), the dock, the
grip, a power adaptor and an HDMI cable.
And though a charging
grip accessory is available, the
JoyCon last about 20 hours by themselves, so unless you don't plan on leaving them in the docked system while away, you shouldn't need to pick one up yet.
