Trying to figure
out another method of using up leftover vegetable
pulp from
juicing, I decided to use it to make porridge.
I squeeze a lot of the
juices out with the back of a large spoon and then leave the bowl in the fridge so the
pulp can drip through the strainer for a while without wasting...
Then you simmer that mixture, strain the
pulp out, and add a coagulator (I used lemon
juice).
Strain
out the
juice (reserve the
pulp for later use!)

out to be milder than the
juice, I tried a tablespoon of habanero

It is absolutely different from store bought
juices — where the antioxidant activity has been pasteurized
out, and any remaining
pulp removed (then preservatives + sugar added and sat on a shelf for a few months)
Smoothies include a greater variety of ingredients and have a thick consistency, while
juices are simpler recipes and leave
out the fiber and
pulp of produce.
