To make this necklace you will need a small crochet hook, fairly thin jute, brass
chain, random charms and large brass
jump rings.
Starting in the very centre of your necklace fix using a 5 cm
jump ring one piece of your 12 cm
chain.
Since this necklace it pretty heavy from all the
chain and beads I used a split
ring instead of a regular
jump ring to attach the
chain pieces for extra strength.
Last step is to add a clasp onto the end of each
chain piece using
jump rings and needle nose pliers
Here's how the base of my necklace looked after all my
chain pieces were cut and linked together with
jump rings:
Attach the big
jump rings on each side of your bib and add the rest of the
chain with your jewellery clasp.
To this
jump ring attach a small
jump ring, which is small enough for the delicate gold
chain.
Thread two pieces of
chain through each plastic loop and then attach the lobster clasps to one side and close the other side of
chain with a
jump ring.
Then reattach the
chain to the
jump ring.
Step 3: Place the cut ends of the
chain onto a
jump ring.
If a
chain is longer than you intended, just cut some length off the top, near the
jump ring.
Step 4: Use the
jump rings or two connectors to attach the three
chains to a chunky
chain.
