just the gamepad; this is a true dual - screen game, you must look at both the TV and WiiU Gamepad simultaneously.

I agree with the writer, it's up to ALL of the developers, not
just Nintendo, to use the
Gamepad in new and creative ways.
A port from X-Box 360 is always the easiest to do from what I've read, so basically they
just need to make it compatible with Windows Vista 7 and 8, add some achievements, add a slider so we can crank up some of the graphics settings, and configure the controller to be rebindable and recognize
gamepads and Xbox 360 / PS3 controllers when they're plugged into the PC.
I mean, I do agree with the point about the
GamePad being useful towards reducing screen clutter, but these two games
just aren't particularly strong examples for that point.
Whether playing in handheld or in TV mode, Half - Genie Hero really is truly divine,
just like it was when playing on the Wii U
GamePad and it is
just as fresh as the day it released back in December of last year.
It shouldn't be
just a few games moving the Start menu to the
GamePad screen, but more having games that exhibit this features with significant benefit.
I've used the
gamepad far to much to even consider that someone could potentially
just write it off... Usually that's the kind of nonsense you hear from people on the internet, who have never touched a
gamepad outside of 5 minute store demo's.
I like the
gamepad just fine, but it could use a higher resolution screen and modern touch sensors in it so it works better without the stylus.
Until Nintendo starts using the
gamepad in ways that are actually creative, instead of
just using it as a cheap tablet, it is going to continue to be viewed as a novelty item.

It's interesting to see Aonuma talk about the
GamePad functions for Wind Waker HD and how those relate to the new Zelda title, but I hope using the
GamePad to its fullest extent means more than
just putting the map on the bottom screen.

Just for Zelda Wind Waker HD and CastleStorm, I got my money's worth for the

I have to disagree with that statement maybe you're
just too used to the pro controller i happen to own Arkham and Assassin's creed 4 and the
gamepad works
just fine for me (yes i do prefer the pro controller but the
gamepad to me is the same thing)
And the
gamepad can enhance a lot of genres but developers
just can't seem to see it.
This game its awesome, wheter you play it with kinect or
gamepad this is a must buy, had a great time playing this game, highly recommended to those looking for a weird, styled game, that's
just awesome and fun to play.
But it doesn't take full advantage of the Wii U technology — some games you could literally turn off your TV and
just stare at the
GamePad the whole time.
I really wanted to see Nintendo take advantage of the
Gamepad in unique ways, not
just have me tilt to steer.
For instance, in «Nintendo Land's Animal Crossing: Sweet Day,» the person with the
GamePad controls two characters while the person with the extra non-
GamePad controller controls
just one.
But ZombiU's Dark - Souls-esque connectivity and unique zombie - overlord - versus - survivors mode was
just as abstract as the
GamePad to most consumers.
I
just hope it takes advantage of the
gamepad in an interesting way.
We all know the
gamepad is
just a gimmick and a distraction that takes away from being immersed in the game.
Just drag the bow icon onto the Y button on the
GamePad screen and you're set.

just bring out Resident Evil 4 HD and add Wii U

GamePad features a set of stereo speakers and headphone jack, and those aren't
just used to pipe the regular TV audio through the controller.
Hmm, while the WiiU would excel at a traditional RPG with use of the
gamepad, I can't complain about a PC release, as I

just makes the
gamepad go black when playing on TV.

Gamepad's motion controls are wonky and off putting, the Walker mode is a pain in the ass to control, and Star Fox 64
just had more interesting levels in general (and in that game, you could
just aim and shoot instead of having to wave the
Gamepad around the room like an idiot to hit anything accurately).
No, 3DS will stay active for 2 - 4 years more, and there will be no optional
gamepad bundle, as it is the main selling point of the console, and most games need the
gamepad to function,, using a menu will
just make it more awkward..

gamepad for «multiplatform» titles built with traditional input methods in mind.
As it turns out, while I'm not willing to change my Wii U disc, change my TV inputs, ensure my
gamepad is charged, I'm totally willing to
just pick up the Switch from its dock and start a race.
While I am excited about this game, I hope that 3D world uses the
Gamepad's second screen in other ways than
just «oh you tap and it shows some hidden stuff».
