I
just wanted to add my own personal experience — when I had my first child, I planned to breastfeed for 6 months tops, and planned at some point to be a
SAHM.
Ok, all you holier - than - thou moms who
just got on their soap box to preach about the ill - effects of television let me reassure you that my kids only watch what I allow them (and been pre-screened by me) and only for the recommended 2 hours a day (contrary to what you may have read in my What Not To Say To
SAHM post).
Oh and because I can't let it slide, until recently I worked full - time, now I am a
SAHM mom — to the person who said it's difficult «especially» for us moms who work full time,
just so you know — IT»S HARDER FOR STAY AT HOME MOMS!!!!!!! I know this now
There's something
just easy and amazing about the world of online shopping when you are a
SAHM of 2 under 2.
Just because I was a
SAHM did not mean someone could tell me what I could or could not buy!
now, at 7 months, i've
just been able to quit my job and become a
SAHM.
I had decided that 9 - months of
SAHM - ing was
just the right time to go back to grad school, and so was facing classes in the morning on no sleep at night.
In fact,
just last month we wrote about a survey of 700 mothers — working and
SAHMs; regardless of «title,» a whopping 90 % of respondents were losing sleep over the exact same concerns (stressing over money, worrying about the kids, finding enough time for their partner and managing the household).
I have to admit, I used to turn my nose up to
SAHMs who would put their kids in childcare centers for a couple of days a week
just to get a break from them.
A
sahm is not special for doing these and it is a huge stretch to call her a financial advisor
just because she makes sure the bills are paid.
Like the others said, it's choices and called being an adult (and if you're a
SAHM, you aren't under the stress that working moms are, sorry but you
just aren't).
Of course being a
SAHM, I change most of the diapers, however, I
just want to say that my husband has been so awesome about Cloth Diapers!
So many moms don't
just Stay - at - Home (
SAHM), we work - at - home (WAHM), too.
Cloth diapering is NOT
just for the
SAHM set.
I think what you need are some chucks or other cute sneakers... maybe it's
just because I'm a
SAHM, but I'm a huge fan of comfy, cute shoes.
And since i'm
just a usually budgetless
SAHM Trying To Decorate this was a challenge.
Using those numbers, the recommendation for a
SAHM's term insurance policy would be
just over $ 1,000,000.
I
just count my blessings that we are in a financial position where I can comfortably be a
SAHM.
