This isn't
just about ebook pricing, this is about us — as a society — devaluing creative work.
Aside from Amazon and the Kindle,
just about every ebook reader app and reading device supports ePub format.
However, the report also shows that ebook patrons are not
just about ebook consumption.
Now Amazon has taken the logical but equally brilliant next step by extending the buyback deal to
just about every ebook reader and tablet that we have ever owned or dreamed of owning — except, at this early writing, the Nook — beginning with that first Kindle 1 for which you may, like me, have paid $ 399.
Amazon announced today that the Kindle and Kindle reading apps will soon be getting support for library books through a service called OverDrive, which currently provides access to over 11,000 libraries in the United States with support for
just about every ebook reader but the Kindle.
Reading Reality isn't
just about ebook collections.
Not exact matches
Content can be a blog post, an
ebook, a video, an email newsletter, an infographic or
just about anything that's going to be consumed by an audience.
I
just became a member and would like to learn more
about your system, which
ebook would be the best one to read first?
Content marketing isn't
just about writing, it's
about consistent content creation: case studies, white papers, presentations, infographics, videos, podcasts, webinars,
eBooks... the list goes on.
Therefore, on your blog, you should probably place CTAs for offers that appeal to people who are
just entering the top of your funnel and know little
about your company (like an educational webinar,
ebook, or kit, for example).
This is not because I am an experienced
eBook author (though I did
just publish my first
eBook), but because I am trying to learn more
about the process, and wanted to share what I learn with you.

I discovered
about How to Land (and Keep) a Literary Agent by Noah Lukeman (funny this is self - published, but I'm not knocking it in any way, shape or form) by way of one of the free
eBook newsletters I get in my inbox, and I
just knew I had to check it out.
What I loved
about this
eBook is that these tips and suggestions, seen through the eyes of a literary agent, and not
just someone who thinks to know what they're talking
about.
I hope you're listening Barnes and Noble because if you want to be a true competitor in the
ebook market, it isn't
JUST about creating an ereader that can go neck and neck with the Kindle (and I am a very happy Nook owner).
The book, with the decidedly un-PG title «Cum For Bigfoot,» is
just the first of 16 fiction

about the legendary beast sometimes known as Sasquatch, each detailing a series of graphic and often violent sexual encounters between the apelike creature and his female human lovers.
We noticed
about a year ago, too,
just how successful she had been with the
ebook version of Replacement Child — selling more than 10,000 copies.
That 25.8 % is all
ebooks, not
just indies, but those numbers still imply a great deal
about the dynamic future of the book world.
Ebook sales are not falling, the print book is not roaring back into vogue and the trend of stories
about their perilous future is
just a passing one, to be forgotten as soon as the full story can be told.
It seems to have a lot of features that I'm
just not entirely sure
about, and I also think the newer version of Calibre is missing or has changed certain things; for instance, I can't find the option to maintain my cover's image dimensions (unless that's because I'm outputting to mobi instead of epub), which leads me to my additional question: How do I stop Calibre from constantly resizing my 1600 × 2400 image (what I've read is ideal size for use through any
ebook distribution channel) down to 1333x???? (sorry, not at my computer at present so can't remember the dimensions it shrinks it to).
The reason why I am bringing this rather select subject up is that I have read commentators over the years, and also recently — and even in Angie's Diary — that evangelise the approach of
eBook - only publishing, and use language and arguments that indicate that print publishing is
about to collapse on itself and is ineffective — in other words, it will happen
just around the corner.
The star player emerged when
ebooks made it possible for
just about anyone to become a published author.
Last time I talked
about just what an
ebook is — a website in a box.
I am not going to buy an
ebook, when I could buy the hardcover for
just $ 4 more (I guess it will also depend on whether you are a Prime member, because I forgot
about that $ 4 shipping cost).
At yesterday's IDPF event, BiblioBoard's Mitchell Davis sat down with Good eReader to talk
about the new feature that was
just launched with Library Journal that will offer libraries a way to feel confident
about including self - published
ebooks in their lending catalogs.
My sons usually want to read
ebooks by known authors,
just because they've heard good buzz
about them.
Which led me to my implication that Apple doesn't really care that much
about selling
eBooks,
just selling more hardware.
I have been thinking
about writing an
Ebook series for some time now, but I
just haven't gotten around to it yet.
I wrote not that long ago
about the new version of the WH Smith
eBook store, and when Kindle launched I compared the prices of a selection of books — essentially looking at those I've bought, and comparing what the price would be to buy the whole collection again for Kindle, or
just to buy them all now, if I were starting from scratch.
