I
added just a bit of almond oil to mine, along with some tea tree, orange, and lavender
essential oils, since I mostly use it on my face.
I
just wanted to let you know I have a blog about
essential oils, and this week I wrote about making your cookies and
adding peppermint
essential oil to the recipe!
You can
add more
essential oils to either
add more germ - fighting ingredients (lavender, clove and rosemary are good choices) or
just to
add a nice smell (citrus, cinnamon and peppermint
oils add a fresh scent).
I said that your child can stay busy playing with this stuff and also reap one of the aforementioned benefits
just by
adding this secret ingredient:
essential oils.
Most of the time I am lazy and
just use water, but sometimes I get fancy with it and
add essential oils, aloe vera and other natural ingredients.
The rosemary
essential oil is most effective at stimulating circulation for tired feet, but if you don't have the
oils or want to skip them, you can
just add 1/4 cup of dried rosemary leaves at the beginning of the foot soak recipe along with the lavender and chamomile.
If you want, you can
add essential oils for scent, though I've never found this necessary and would rather
just diffuse the
oils or make a room spray for scent as the carpet cleaning mixture is essentially washed out of the carpet.
I haven't tried this yet, but it could be
added to this serum for additional benefit (
just always use caution and do your own research when using
essential oils!)
Just adding some of the most common
essential oils like lavender, frankincense, lemon, and peppermint to your daily life is thought to alleviate pain, improve digestion, balance hormones, flight cold and flu symptoms, and relax your body or sore muscles.
I will usually
just eyeball the amount of
essential oils and liquid soap colorant I
add to soap.
Would I have to adjust the amount of the other ingredients in proportion with the
essential oils or could I
just add a few drops to the recipe as is?
You can make your own soak by
just adding salt and your choice of
essential oils.
You can try ginger teas, raw ginger (it's great in stir - fries and smoothies), ginger powder (in this recipe) and even ginger
essential oils (which you could
add to water -
just be sure you are buying a good quality brand to get the benefits).
You can then also
add some drops of
essential oils for the aromatherapy (or
just because you like certain scents).
I didn't use any
Essential Oils and
added just a tad bit of IPM.
Don't worry, if you don't have all the
essential oils I suggested above,
just use what you have and maybe
add in some more drops.
