I really want to make this tonight, but i have not soaked any quinoa... Is it okay if
i just boil the quinoa instead?

boil them, this thickened up the curry nicely, i also added, fresh garlic and coriander at the end with the spinach, it was quite thick today, so i loosened it up with some coconut milk (fresh) it really is so good, i served it with black

I made
quinoa salad ahead of time as it lasts quite a while (1 cup
quinoa with
just shy of 2 cups water brought to a
boil, turned down low, lid, simmer for 15 minutes or so; cover with a sauce of orange juice, lemon juice, honey, curry, turmeric, and added walnuts).
Another trick is to add
just a small splash of olive oil at
boiling time - it helps the
quinoa to fluff easier when cooled.
Meanwhile, back at the
quinoa... like any other grain, in can be very plain if you
just boil it in water.
Then I
just sauteed
quinoa with a teensy bit of coconut oil until it got nice and toasty then covered it with some water and brought it to a
boil and let simmer for about twenty minutes.
Boil the
quinoa (I did this the night before, so
just grabbed my cooked
quinoa out of the fridge).

Quinoa milk instead of Almond milk — Canned 100 % Pure Pumpkin instead of the bananas — Substitute whole oats for some of the flour — Add freshly ground flaxseed and chopped nuts (I like pecans)-- Bake in muffin tins instead of a loaf (usually takes about 20 - 25 minutes at 350 F, I make these weekly for school snacks and they're the bomb)-- Reduce sugar to 1/2 cup for more of a snack and less of a dessert — If I'm in a hurry, I
just do 6 T
boiling water and 3 T cocoa powder and
just mix it into the whole thing!
I
just add a little water to the pot after removing the
quinoa and then bring it to a
boil, letting the broccoli blanch til it's tender yet still firm [I can't handle mushy broccoli lol!]

quinoa absorbs all of the liquid.
Experiment with your noodle of choice — 100 % buckwheat noodles work well too, as does
just regular
boiled quinoa.
