just buttered toasted buns, fried chicken, and pickles — definitely one for the purists.

I love mine with almond
butter, fresh berries and a squeeze of honey but it's also delicious with
toasted nuts, banana slices and
just about anything else you've got in your kitchen.
However, if you have diabetes / pre-diabetes and you are including bananas as part of a whole meal then I would
just balance them with some healthy fat (avocados, nuts, etc.) You could have a banana on top of a piece of sprouted whole grain
toast with some almond
butter and that would be a good option.
I use Country Crock in
just about everything — oatmeal, rice, potatoes, sauteing veggies,
buttering toast — tons of stuff.
Also, sometimes I
just lather it on
toast because what's better than
buttered bread?
I used rum emulsion instead of bourbon,
just because I don't have bourbon, but I do have rum emulsion; I also used unsalted
butter so added 1/2 tsp salt to the mix and I added 1 cup of
toasted walnuts — because I
just have to have walnuts in my banana bread.
Today I
just happened to stock up on pumpkin... and no, I don't wear a tinfoil hat but something is going on... I used the leftover cinn / brn sugar /

just heated about a cup of blackberries, a big squeeze of lemon and 2 TBS chia seeds on the stove, mashed it and let it cool before transferring into a jar for

I simplified this recipe even more in a lot of ways, by using frozen bagged carrots, peas, and corn instead of celery and carrot, I skipped the sautéing part and
just mixed the raw onion and garlic with the mixture, I skipped the walnut
toasting part and
just added it in, I did all my chopping in the food processor, I used the food processor to grate the apple and used an apple instead of apple
butter in the sauce and
just processed it til it was slightly chunky.
To make the crust, pulse together flour,

Things I changed: - cut the sugar by about half, using mostly dark brown sugar for the molasses kick - scratched the nutmeg and allspice but added about 1/3 extra of all of the other spices and also added nearly a tsp of ground cardamon - replaced the veggie oil with melted leaf lard - scratched the raisins - baked it on a deep sheet for only ~ 20 minutes -
just barely until firm to the touch - then cut that sheet into three layers - replaced the icing with my own 16 ounce cream cheese, 8 ounce
butter, ~ 6 ounce heavy cream, ~ 5 ounce honey, 1 tsp vanilla combo -
toasted the coconut before dressing the cake.
