I'm not sure if I had too much
chicken or not enough sauce, but I think when I
cook it next I'll make a little extra sauce
just in case.
The sauce, of which there is plenty (I like a little
chicken with my sauce), is built from tomato and yogurt (no coconut milk this time) though I did accompany with a coconut infused brown basmati (
just add 1 Tbsp of coconut oil to the rice while
cooking, works like a charm), the boys love it too.
Browning the
chicken on the stovetop before adding it to the slow
cooker will add a wonderful caramelized flavor you
just can't achieve from the slow
cooker.
I am already 3 hours into
cooking the
chicken and
just started it on high.
As I
just can not not Indianize whatever I
cook, I added coriander and red chili to the
chicken.
To poach
chicken, you
just cover the
chicken pieces with water and let them simmer on the stovetop until the
chicken is
cooked through.
Then I
just dump it on the
chicken and do whatever I want while dinner
cooks.
Stir in
chicken and cumin, and stir fry a few more minutes
just until
chicken is
cooked on the outside.
That's why I
cook 4 pounds of
chicken at once, but feel free to halve the amounts in this recipe to make

Cook the
chicken breasts
just until golden brown but not yet
cooked through, about 2 minutes per side.

chicken broth amount (I always do) and I
cooked the escarole in water ahead of time and then

just shred some rotisserie
chicken and call it a day.
For anyone who cares — I tried this for dinner, except I only had raw
chicken, so I tried cutting it up small and
just cooking it longer.
I was informed that a full
chicken could be
cooked in the slow
cooker, so I'm assuming I could
just follow this recipe.
I
just discovered a new, oil free and easy way to
cook chicken.
Place the
chicken drumsticks on the grill and
cook until the
chicken is
just cooked through, turning every 5 minutes, about 20 minutes total.
Continue simmering over medium - low heat until the
chicken is
just cooked through, about 30 minutes for the breast pieces, and 20 minutes for the thighs.
