I've heard countless well - meaning people say things like «I tried eating vegetarian, but
I just craved meat» or «Humans were meant to eat meat — just look at my teeth.»
Not exact matches
To me, it
just kind of ties in with those that need and desire «milk» and hopefully, start to
crave the «
meat.»
I'm a vegetarian now so we do it with tempeh or
just without the
meat but it definitely helps with any
cravings I get for wings!
But, other than cheese and crackers, mango, and peach ice cream, my father's daily
cravings came down to
just a couple of things:
meat + starch + veg.
Sometimes you
just don't want
meat for lunch but
crave a good, hearty sandwich.
I am not one to gravitate toward red
meat but sometimes I
just crave a BIG.
A
craving for red
meat doesn't mean you have an iron deficiency, it probably means you
just... want a steak.
I eat
meat when I
crave it and other than that, I am
just fine meatless.

When you have
cravings,
just eat
meat and fat instead.
Plus the large amount of starchy carbs you ingest (insulin spiking starchy carbs too) triggers
cravings for more carbohydrates later... Personally, I can tell you that when my meals are mostly
meat and vegetables, I'm satisfied fairly quickly and don't need to go back for seconds... but if I try to eat a plate of pasta, I
just can't seem to stop coming back for seconds and thirds and even fourths!
If you are a vegetarian or rarely eat
meat and have a
craving for carbs and
just don't feel satisfied until you are filled up on breads, pastas or sweets, you may have unstable blood sugar due to a deficiency of protein.
