I tend to

just workout an hour or so
after I've
eaten a normal meal rather than having a «pre-
workout.»
I am sooo scared to gain weight / fat by

I'm a very persistant person and won't stop till I get what I want hehe
just want to make sure I am doing the right thing, and yes I do
eat carbs from veggies / fruit quite a bit, I'm a raw smoothie addict (have a smoothie first thing in the morning and one
after a
workout) hehe I don't think my calories are too much (1500 - 1700) since I also do a physical job on my feet all day long, what do you think?

workout nutrition is pretty simple:
just make sure to
eat within 90 minutes before and
after workout sessions.
The best answer is probably to
just eat a generous helping of whole - food based protein (beans, etc)
after a
workout, but a quick protein shake is so much more convenient!
The time resting,
eating and recovering
after the
workout counts
just as much.
