There is really not much to talk about for Quick Race and Championship, so I will be skipping over them in these impressions and
just focusing on the multiplayer.
Not exact matches
Although there are
multiplayer options included,
just as with Doom 3, you can tell that the
focus was definitely
on the single player aspect of the game.
It's
just a shame that it is so heavily
focused on online
multiplayer, and not much else.
so why spend time making
multiplayer elements for a game that really would only feel tacked
on compared to
just solely
focusing on making a great single player experience.
Trials Fusion is due to release in
just a few days, and to celebrate the boys and girls over at Ubisoft have released a trailer
focusing on the
multiplayer side of the game.
Microsoft's dependence
on multiplayer games is what's led to their creative stagnation, IMHO, since
just focusing on the mutiplayer makes the single player campaigns of the games they make become bare bones and an afterthought.

Nevertheless the game continues to be patched, with a new one arriving
just before this news
focusing on multiplayer.
Perhaps it's because a
multiplayer -
focused game doesn't quite get the pulse racing for fans of a series that's consisted of predominantly solo affairs, or maybe it's
just because all eyes are
focused on next year's Wii U entry.
Little quirks like this often get passed off as
just being very «Nintendo» but that's simply not acceptable for a game so heavily
focused on multiplayer battles.
So, I came back and said, «
Just make it short and
focus on multiplayer so we can get the game done.»
Taking away the instruments, the
multiplayer and the
focus on achieving professional musicianship that the series previously strove for, Blitz brings things back to the old days of Frequency where it was
just you tapping a couple of simple buttons to the beat.
Often, we see big titled games
focus on you the player, they cater to strictly you as the consumer, and sometimes,

multiplayer after exhausting the campaign, so I wish there would be reviews that put a big emphasis
on multiplayer, and some reviews that
focus solely
on it.
It has a campaign mode, but this is really
just a set of standard
multiplayer matches with some assorted story -
focused dialogue layered over the action, like someone decided to put
on a radio play while you shoot at people.
A developer at Avalanche stated «We don't expect the fans to make the
multiplayer for
Just Cause 3, but at some point you have to make a choice
on where your
focus is.»
I guess I
just reacted to the idea of local
multiplayer gaming slowly dying when the 4 top selling games
on the most popular platform of this generation, which have sold 160 million copies combined, are all almost entirely about local
multiplayer gaming (and the fifth one, NSMB, also
focused quite a bit
on it).
I would expect that the developers would be
focusing more
on just recreating what was so great about Halo 2's
multiplayer rather than needlessly adding to it, so I'm inclined to believe that this regards Halo 5.
Also,
just as in previous games in the series, Modern Warfare 2 is heavily
focused on multiplayer gameplay.
Much like the 2015 original, Splatoon 2's
focus is largely
on the competitive
multiplayer, but it would be a mistake to discount
just how creative, funny, and well - designed the game's single - player campaign is.
