You can't
just write a
book and expect people to
find out about it.
If you
find out about a company from their advertisements, and they say they're «accepting manuscripts» and ask for a phone number, and then call you and say «we'd love to publish your
book, we
just need you to pay for x, y, z... be careful.
For someone who has
just started and released her first
book and
finds it difficult to be noticed by those «important» people
out there it can be quite depressing for me to go
about my day, thinking my
book isn't special enough, or that it's message isn't good enough for people to care
about it.
