Players can use crystals to purchase weapons and armor, which can be upgraded and evolved in
gacha game fashion, but the game is pretty generous in
just handing out currency as a reward.
It's got all the usual F2P trappings - levelling up, combining equipment,
gacha, energy systems - but it's relatively unintrusive if you
just want to focus on smacking up enemy soldiers.
As my April Fool's post may indicate, I mainly
just play Final Fantasy
gacha games on my phone, in my continual spiral toward self - destruction.
And even if
gacha (and preorder for that matter) won't be one of the greatest fights in humankind's history, that will ever have been fought for, there's nothing courageous about
just hiding behind cynicism on those topics.
It's very much based on the combat and feel of Pokemon games,
just with more of a mobile - friendly structure with randomized levels and a
gacha system to get new Mortys and items, along with a whole crafting system.
