I just wonder, would it be possible to replace the the ground almonds with something nut - free?
Place the pecans and ground almonds into a food processor and blend into a fine nut flour, this should just take a minute or so.
If it's just almonds then any ground nut will work perfectly — I think hazelnuts of pecans would taste particularly good here!

Add the oats, cinnamon, and salt, and pulse just until the nuts are coarsely ground (be careful not to overprocess).
It seems to be an oilier nut and harder to get into a fine grind than almonds - but maybe i just need to process them longer.

Nuts are also included as is ground almonds (you can buy prepackaged ground almonds or you can just take blanched almonds and process them until finely ground in your food processor).
I would also consider just trying to substitute with some ground almonds (at the same volume), assuming you can eat nuts....
Hi Tim, just wondering, as I am allergic to nuts (but can eat almonds), whether I could substitute ground walnuts for ground almonds.
So, the hemp seeds get sprinkled on and it's optional because you could use ground up brazil nuts OR just skip the sprinkling of anything completely.
Just for fun, I added dried cranberries instead of raisins and then sprinkled the loaves with ground nuts.

It grinds just fine in a coffee grinder, way easier than nuts.)
The other thing I did was add ground cardamom which was nice and added some chai flavouring, as well as roasted salty pumpkin seeds just because I like nuts / seeds in my pudding.
I used my nutribullet to try chopping the nuts but it just really ground them into a flour consistency, with some larger portions, but this still worked really well.

My hubs is 61 — I am 58 and we still go strong on DIY — and we still make boo - boos — last year, we were redoing (or should I say the hubs was redoing) the floor tile in our 2nd bathroom — the crazy nut tiled himself into the tub — I was in the kitchen painting the texture he had just a couple of days before put on the walls (had wallpaper on it before) and I hear this feeble «Honey, can you go outside on the side of the house and get that tile from the ground under the window»... I went into the bathroom, saw him standing in the tub, and he explained that he got mad and threw the tile out the open window.
