Today was making Irish Soda Bread for a dinner and decided to try a GF version for me, was a crumbled mess but tasted good (pancake and baking mix and a GF recipe) decided to try a 2nd batch with different flour, used the King Arthur Measure for Measure and my regular recipe, taste is a little different because it's not wheat flour but it's very good and baked up
just like the wheat flour version, will definitely be switching to this GF flour for all my baking, looking foreward to cake and cookies with my favorite recipes.
My non-GAPS family thought these tasted
just like a wheat flour cookie.
And the crust is absolutely amazing — tastes

likes a dry muffin — so make sure you don't skip this step and
just end up mixing the
wheat bran in with the rest of the

just want to ask a question: I have an easier and cheaper access to isolated protein very high quality
wheat flour from the Scandinavian countries and I can't find AT ALL some ingredients as
like Expandex or often potatoe starch..
Rolled it up and plopped it into a loaf pan and it was
just like my mommy used to make:) I used a mix of white whole
wheat flour and all purpose
flour, and the bread had a wonderful soft texture.
I used biological spelt
flour in this recipe because I
like the taste of it but any white or whole
wheat flour will do
just nicely.
In saying all that, you can use whatever
flour you
like but I'd replace some of it with some
wheat germ
just to up the health factor a bit.
Of course, this is
just a basic recipe here (the only slight twist was using some whole
wheat flour because I
like the flavour, but you can swap that out for plain if you wish) so you can change it as you please.
The two
flours can be used with equal portions so no need to change quantities —
just depends on whether you'd
like to use AP
flour or a healthier, unrefined
flour,

just add about a tablespoon of vital

Eating out tip: Most restaurants do not offer 100 % whole -
wheat (a lot of «
wheat breads» are made with both whole -
wheat and white
flours) so it is best to
just avoid things

These grain free blueberry muffins don't rise
like wheat flour based muffins — but then again, most grain free products
just don't.

like a pancake i think working with coconut
flour is a bit tricky because its so dense and absorbs liquids more than regular
wheat flour i hope there are some great recipes in your cook book using coconut
flour - too bad its fairly expensive
