While you don't need to completely avoid milk like you should the above drinks, it would definitely be a good idea to keep it to a minimum (calcium is nice, but milk is still
just liquid calories) and / or go with skim or 2 % over whole.

liquid stevia or equivalent (both
just stevia and erythritol, no

Liquid Sweetener is the easy, no
calorie way to sweeten drinks til they're
just right.
We would have had no problem with
just supplementing with straight up formula if it would have helped (and ended up switching to
just fortified formula eventually because of allergies and dwindling supply)-- the reason they were doing the fortified instead of
just extra bottles was because she was too weak / sleepy from her heart issues to drink enough
liquid in the first place for the necessary
calories.
If I feel satisfied by pizza, I'll
just change up the texture, say to ice cream, and book, I can binge a 1000 more
calories, plus
liquid calories that the brain can't even read.
Alcohol of course is
just useless
liquid calories.
However, when sugar is dissolved in
liquids that already have added sugars, the total
calorie count would obviously account for more than
just sixteen.
Not only can
liquid calories make you gain weight,
just like
calories from food, they don't make you feel full for long either.
Drink fruit juice
just be careful how much and make sure your
liquid calories are going in your food journal so you have an accurate record of how many
calories you really are consuming.
Just think about how much you'll save per year if you cut down all the
liquid calories in your life and replace them with water, tea, coffee (not the expensive kind) and fresh juices (juice them yourself!).
Just like the 80/20 rule (eating mostly healthy, most of the time and allowing for the occasional treat and / or drink, in mindful moderation), I recommend that you plan out your meals and snacks, knowing that you're going to consume more in the way of
liquid calories that day.
