It takes a
lot of practice to get the angle
just right, and that can be daunting for those who are
just dipping their toes in the

I am hoping they will be edible once they cool but there was a

Coconut flour needs A
LOT of liquid, it
just absorbs it like crazy.
I
just bought a bag
of the flour and would like to experiment; I know it requires using a
lot of eggs (or
liquid), and this recipe seems to fit that requirement perfectly.
:) I've had
lots of readers get good results with this one while leaving it out though, so I think
just liquid smoke should be fine.
I have a question since you know WW points and I do not... if I added a layer
of quinoa in the bottom
of the dish to «bulk up» the recipe (because I never know what other dishes will be showing up and would rather have a starch included) and absorb some
of the delicious chicken
liquid, would it add a whole
lot of extra WW points or
just a few?
Hi Silke, There's no flour and a
lot of liquid in these muffins so that's
just the way they come out.
I too had a
lot of liquid but siphoned it off with a turkey baster and thickened the
liquid a bit, adding more chopped fresh herbs to make a very tasty sauce / gravy to drizzle over the potatoes (even tho they were very moist already —
just added a little special touch).
Glad you liked the taste but shame it turned out dry and rubbery, it's hard to say why, to be honest I don't work with vital wheat gluten often at all as I can't buy it here (online only) so it's hard for me to troubleshoot as I don't have a
lot of experience working with it: — RRB - The proportions
of liquid should be
just right in the recipe so maybe too much vital wheat gluten got added during the kneading stage?

of course cook these on the stove if you so choose, but if you'd like to
just wake up to these in the morning and not have to work for your breakfast, break out your slow cooker I do actually prefer these oats after they've had a chance to sit in the slow cooker for at least 30 minutes before serving and after cooking as they absorb a
lot of extra
liquid that I don't like having in my oatmeal.
This salad should be prepared
just prior to serving, as the cucumber release a
lot of liquid if allowed to stand any length
of time.

The coconut flour could be omitted easily and
just left out - you may need to reduce the amount
of liquid ever so slightly, since the coconut flour thickens the mixture and absorbs a
lot of moisture.
