SteamWorld Heist has always been a great
game and the
Switch version might
just be the best way to experience it.

just as much fun playing through the quest on Nintendo's older system as we did on the

Game Freak is hitting its stride

True that
just like the
games of old within this genre, this remains niche and will possibly only tickle the fancy of a very specific target audience with the whole
Switch owner population.
I honestly have no idea how I'll ever be able to stop playing this gem of a
game, especially since I
just found out about it a week before it's release date in the Nintendo eShop for the
Switch.
Because I can
just switch the screen to the
game pad, I can play for a much greater volume of time then I ever could before.
This
game is definitely aimed at the younger Pokemaniacs, but older fans like myself can still get enjoyment out of it if they keep an open mind, it's not as good as the first PokePark
game do to looser controls and by
just not being as much fun, but it manages to expand on what the first
game offered in the way of new content, for instance this time you don't
just play as Pikachu but also Tepig, Snivy, and Oshawott after you meet them, and you can
switch between them on the fly anytime you want, and you'll need to use each of their special abilities in your adventure, it also adds side - scrolling sections and a few other new features to keep things fresh, it also has some multiplayer attractions to play with so that's also nice, and you'll still be befriending all sorts of Pokemon
just like the last
game, you also get free roam after the main quest so you can make sure to befriend them all, and it's all adorable do to the cute graphics and world, even the loading screens are adorable, and as a
gamer who typically plays more serious and violent
games it was nice to spend time in the lighthearted PokePark with some of my favorite Pokemon, I recommend it and I definitely see myself returning in the days to come.
Also rather neat is that the
game supports keyboard and mouse peripherals for the
Switch,
just in case you've got nostalgia for that one gigantic keyboard controller for Gamecube.
It doesn't
just play like Metroid and Metroid II: The Return of Samus, and look like a modernised version of Metroid without the whole 2.5 D effect used by MercurySteam for Metroid: Samus Returns, but the created atmosphere is so perfectly done that you could easily mentally picture the
game's protagonist Trace as the infamous Bounty Hunter and the
game will still be perfectly enjoyable, if not a little more so as you can pretend it is the Metroid
game the Nintendo
Switch is currently missing.

Still
just because the
Switch version isn't the Definitive version of Shantae: Half - Genie Hero like we prayed it would be, it is still an incredibly beautiful
game but while I have reviewed the Wii U version so there isn't really that much more I can say about this
game, I'm still going to give it a go and review this new
Switch release in the way that it deserves to be, so let's get to it!

Switch games, and, incredibly, at least one of them is straight up too big to fit on the standard console.
Liz Footit: I'm not sure what they're planning for the app, I
just hope it's somehow able to work with or alongside the
switch game.
Kirby Star Allies is another solid addition to the Nintendo
Switch, and it does everything it has to as a Kirby
game, I
just hope that in the future, Nintendo will try to expand upon what already makes Kirby so great as they have with titles like The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and Super Mario Odyssey.

I'm hoping for local multiplayer (2
switches & 2 copies of the
game playing local) only because I know they aren't going to be doing online multiplayer, but I'd be
just as happy with online multiplayer as both options would allow my wife and I to play together without splitscreen.
On a laptop, where people often
just queue up a playlist, this is fine; on
Switch it makes the
game feel lifeless.
I was one of many that was convinced that, as soon as the
Switch made its debut, the 3DS would fade away quickly, with
game releases drying up and there no longer being a need for me to pick up the quirky dual - screen handheld, but instead, between
games like Fire Emblem Echoes, Metroid: Samus Returns and soon Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon, there's more than enough reasons to invest in a fresh 3DS, not
just keep turning on your old one.
