But I
think the national average will stay
just under $ 3 a gallon, and we «ll settle in somewhere between $ 2.65 to $ 2.80 for much
of the
summer.
Consider this... a person goes to college, gets a four year degree in archaeology (or some antiquities preservation analog); spends
summers sifting through sand and rock and gravel, all the while taking graduate level classes... person eventually obtains the vaunted PhD in archaeology... then works his / her tail off seeking funding for an archeological excavation, with the payoff being more funding, and more opportunities to dig in the dirt... do you
think professional archaeologists are looking hard for evidence
of the Exodus on a speculative basis... not a chance... they know their PhD buys them nothing more than a job at Tel Aviv Walmart if they don't discover and publish... so they write grants for digs near established sites / communities, and stay employed sifting rock in culturally safe areas... not unless some shepard stumbles upon a rare find in an unexpected place do you get archeological interest and action in remote places... not at all surprising that the pottery and other evidence
of the Exodus and other biblical events lie waiting to be discovered... doesn't mean not there...
just not found yet...
My kids are in charge
of the grocery budget this
summer, which is quite an experience, but I
think I can convince the daughter in charge to buy me a lemon (she's a little stingy, but it's
just a lemon!).
I
think you should
just keep these in rotation for the rest
of the
summer...

just makes me
think of summers on the lake, in the hot sunshine and humidity back in Ohio.
If I'd been
thinking ahead, I would have written about something a little more fall - oriented (given that the baby wasn't born until September) rather than something celebrating the wonders
of late
summer produce, because now that the recipe is live on Jenni's blog, corn and basil and blackberries are — sadly —
just a sweet
summer memory.
mmmm... i was
JUST thinking spring rolls (or the unfried
summer roll) not two minutes ago,
thinking of avocado, and thin - thin red pepper, carrot, cuke, the odd thread
of rice noodle.

of summer just around the corner, we
thought that it was appropriate for us to round - up some

summer memories.

just love eating green beans, the
thought of sauteing them or steaming them
just wasn't appealing to me, probably because
of the hot weather, so thankfully I remembered this recipe that I make every
summer.

of berries, it makes me
think of warmer
summer days that will hopefully be arriving very soon.
We all
just assumed that he would be staying at Arsenal to begin his coaching career, but now the Daily Mail is reporting that Guardiola is
thinking of offering him a place on his team at the Etihad when he takes over in the
summer.
o.t does anybody on here honestly
think we might try and make a move for klopp this
summer are the board that aggressive enough to make the decision also wenger has not come out straight away to denied that klopp is coming to arsenal he
just batted the question away in the press conference yesterday this makes me wonder if wenger is going to sit down with the board and have a chat to see what is the best way forward for the club (maybe moving upstairs to the boardroom so he doesn't have to break his contract) i am sure if certain members
of the board saw this as a prime opportunity to move the club forward post wenger we will see what will happen this might be the only chance to get him as we might not be any decent manager around when wenger does retire we would probably end up with martinez instead realistically who do you
think we would end up with in 2 yrs time options will be more limited me
thinks and we wil have missed the boat better make it count this time coyg
Having said all that I'll
just quietly slip the
thought of how we could've added more in the
summer, but hey it is what it is.
I
think that wenger is
just gaining time by dragging out the full extent
of Coquelin's injury, He is basically avoiding the backlash for not signing a DM during the
summer transfer window and as long as the team keep winning the fans won't be so disappointed when wenger announces that Coquelin has had a set back and that he will out for 8 weeks, (4 months)
it will be three outfield players max this
summer i
think wenger will always stick with scezschny because he is an arsenal man from a young age and wenger always stays loyal to these type
of players, we
just need to get a better goalkeeper coach in maybe seaman or lehmann to help sharpen him up, as for the other player it will be c / h, d / m and c / f additions not replacements we need to add not replace so we have top quality backup in reserve.
Because I
just think Chelsea won't accept the situation they are in, they will throw a lot
of money [at it] in the
summer, and get a new manager.
Despite man city spending over 200m pounds in d
summer,
just two injuries, they r playing a midfielder as a lwb and mangala is their defensive cover u guys should
just stop moaning,, i
think arsenal still have cover this season, a striking trio
of welbeck, giroud and walcot can hold their own, a midfield duo
of Wilshire and elneny can hold their own, we might be light in defence buh not as terrible as u guys r exaggerating it, trsnsfer window is over let's support d guys
I personally
think fans respect
of wenger is at an all time low, we will do the usual be in the top 6/7 by jan, buy a panic buy, get fourth and everyone's happy, there will be hundreds
of rumours in the
summer transfer window and we will be here again, until wenger leaves this is the cycle, we need to be aware players like Sanchez want to compete for trophies, he wasn't extatic with
just the FA cup, if this carries on he will leave and I for one won't blame him.
3) he bought gabriel to take over for BFG - AW will get a GK, i don't
think he's a fan
of either Szeczny or ospina imo - I
think he will also get a ST this
summer, ronaldo
just moved to n9, i don't
think they'll sell bale
just yet.
Arsenal obviously
think that defenders can be bought cheaply, as Mavropolas only cost us 2m this
summer, and Rob Holding cost the same amount a couple
of years back, but can we keep hoping that we get a rough diamond that can take te Premiership by storm, or should we
just pay the asking prices to bring in a ready - made star defender?
So I have
just seen one
of the most recent bits
of Arsenal transfer news regarding what Arsene Wengher did or was trying to do during the
summer transfer window, although I
think the word news could and should be replaced with the word rumour or even by the two words wild rumour, because I have serious doubts about the veracity
of this one.
I
just hope that this does not mean that Arsene Wenger is not
thinking of adding to his defensive options during the
summer transfer window because I for one
think it is a key area in which the Gunners are not strong enough.
Bring in Ospina for Cech; Gabriel for Koscielny (Kos is 31 and its time we start testing Gabriel and Holding beside Mustafi to see what our long term first choice defensive partnership will look like); Gibbs for Monreal (Wenger needs to start rotating these 2 more frequently as we need to ascertain if Gibbs can adequately produce the quality to hold that position from next season for a few years as I'm
thinking this might be Nacho's last or penultimate season with Arsenal, it will also give a hint as to the type
of Left - back to target in the
summer — first teamer or backup and age as well); I'll like to see an Elneny — Xhaka partnership in this fixture as we might
just never know, this might be our replica
of the Kos Mustafa partnership in the centre
of the park, Two disciplined (positionally, i mean) central midfielders who can play box to box; Chamberlain for Iwobi, and Perez for Alexis should do the work.
He may not be the big name, top quality striker that many Arsenal fans were hoping that Arsene Wenger would bring in to the club this
summer, but with
just a day left
of the transfer window, I
think we could do a lot worse than to go for the QPR centre forward Charlie Austin.
If some
of the placard wavers believe that the article writer here is speaking too soon, spare a moment for some
of us, who listen to angry people speak before a ball has even been kicked,
summer was no different, after liv and lei was no different, so
just spare a
thought.
While most
of the Arsenal fans are fairly happy with the business the signings made so far by Arsene Wenger in the
summer transfer window, I still

of additions before the window closes in
just over a week.
For one thing, when the reports
of Barca's interest came out it was
thought that their Brazilian international right back Dani Alves would be moving on this
summer and now we know that Alves was
just using Man United's interest to get a better deal.
I
think we must close this topic as there is no sense in it, We must now concentrate on the Chelsea Game as it is
of huge huge importance not
just of second place but also to our title challenge next season, players we can buy in
summer, our confidence will be sky high if we win it.
So
of course Arsene Wenger has made mistakes,
just like every other manager in every football league across the planet and I'm sure he will make plenty more before the end
of the season, but I am referring to a couple
of specific and avoidable mistakes that I
think may come back to haunt the Frenchman when the dust settles on the Premier League next
summer.
This is
just my theory,
of course, but I
think that Arsenal and Arsene Wenger have
just suffered a real blow in the
summer transfer busdiness and I lay the blame firmly at the feet
of Man United.
When u are here, u either join the bandwagon and bash an off form lad or u get the rather childish thumbs!Anyone who
thinks Szcezney is useless and should be released in the
summer just like the author
of this rant wants us to believe is deluded.
which is certainly not a slight on the young french national player; like him or not, Sanchez has provided some real world - class performances for club and country in recent years... if you do this move, you need to really clean house or face some serious consequences for the foreseeable future... half measures are rarely rewarded, that's how we got here... tear down the wall... we need to get rid
of Giroud, not because he isn't a talented player, his skill - set simply doesn't make sense if we hope to maximize the offensive potential
of a quick passing, one - touch scheme... we need to evolve, like Barcelona, who realized you needed to have clinical finishers or face a mind - numbing future
of horizontal passes and largely ineffective crosses... Barca went and got Suarez, even though they had Messi and Neymar on the roster (
just imagine the possibilities — another in the litany
of Wenger «what ifs»)... we need to be as clinical in the boardroom as on the pitch... accept nothing less or move on... personally I would move on from Welbeck, Giroud and Walcott, even Ox if he isn't all in... I
think the most intriguing player might be Perez, which runs counter to the
thoughts in my head when he arrived late last
summer... we need a deep lying DM with quick feet and long ball potential, midfielders who can counter quickly even when they are spread out and 4 or 5 players who know how to attack the lanes (kind
of a cross between Barca, Dortmund and Monaco)... this is seriously an achievable goal, one that logically should have been achieved quite a few years ago... did no one in the Arsenal organization see the financial restructuring
of the football universe...
think of the players we could have had but we weren't willing to cough up the dough only for those individuals to have their value double or triple within a 12 to 24 month period... even if
just from an investment perspective these «no deals» represent a failure
of monumental proportions... only if you cared,
of course
But if the academy graduate really is out
of the first team frame you would
think we would make a deal to free up the wages and the place in the squad, so I wonder if Wenger may
just be
thinking about Gibbs as the left sided wing back in the new back three formation, or at least as his second option after the
summer signing Kolasinac.
Some players signed by Arsene Wenger have never really thrived in the EPL and you would
think that the boss had checked them out thoroughly before spending money on any transfer, so there is a theory that some players are
just not cut out for it and there were some concerns among Gooners that our
summer signing from the French club Lyon might be one
of these.
I
think the signing
of both
of these players would be a great boost for us for the coming season Cavani has undeniable class but can't see Wenger going for a striker this
summer considering that we only bought Welbeck not even a year ago, I
think we should go for Marco Reus as our now customary (or so they would have us believe) marquee signing
of the
summer and promote from within to fill some
of the other gaps in our squad, except for maybe CDM as we lack rotation in this area, but our very own Le Coq shows what promotion from within can achieve, he is
just one
of many players to come through the ranks to command a spot in our starting XI, such as Bellerin those 2 seem like almost the first names on the team sheet nowadays who would have
thought that 1 year ago or even 6 months ago?
I am sure Ramsey will find his attacking touch very soon.Coq was superb and
just put Silava our
of the game, he was also fanatstic in air and did not allow city to pass to Aguero I am ok with the idea
of waiting for Schnideraline in the
summer as I
think Le Coq will do the job for rest
of the season Once we have played the spurs away, we will only left with one tough away match against Man United towards the end.
Some have suggested that he should not go to the Euro's with England this
summer because
of his lack
of playing time but the idea that Hodgson would even
think about choosing a player with
just over 70 minutes
of playing time this season, goes to show
just how valued Jack's quality is for both club and country.
we are to concerned with resting players this season and they are all losing match fitness, i can understand rotating players around end January or February but now they
just got back from
summer holidays and non have played week and week out, i don't
think any
of them has over 10 hours game time for Arsenal this season
With Kyle Anderson hitting free agency this
summer and Rudy Gay having a player option (although I
think he'll opt in), it could be that they're
just making sure one
of their three combo forwards (besides Leonard) remains affordable.
So I was driving home the other day and
thinking to myself, this might
just be the least excited I've ever been ahead
of a
summer that will be overrun by the World Cup.
I
think I'd like to see Baptiste stay in the
summer, it saves us having to spend too much time and money on bringing another centre back in along side the probable signing
of Nick Kuipers, he's experienced and dependable when played in the centre, and can,
just about, cover in other areas when needed.
I remember we were on about this lad alot last
summer & again in the january window.Im really unsure on Song, i know he is a quality player but he
just isnt the same since he came back from his African trip, he must have a bad case
of the Allardyce Lethargy Bug sweeping through the club.I
think he was one
of the first ones to go down with it.There is a cure for ALB though, the board
just need to give the go ahead
I
think that as soon as the manager signed a new contract last
summer, my mind
just kind
of wrote this season off.
I
think its cool — in a geeky green - kinda way — to see
just what the impact is
of closing your curtains on a hot
summer day, taking public transportation, or setting up a compost bin.
But for spring and
summer I have a new line
of embroidered terrace skirts and also some loose fitting shirts with a fitted bottom yoke that I
think you'll
just love.
