Working with a stand mixer fitted with a paddle attachment (
I just used a hand mixer because I didn't feel like dragging out the KitchenAid), in a large bowl, beat the butter at medium speed for about a minute until softened.
In fact I didn't even bother using my kitchen aid mixer,
I just used a hand mixer and whipped these up in no time.
I just used my hand mixer and it was just right.
And if I don't have a blender, could
I just use a hand mixer or should I do the food processor?

Mine is a regular
hand mixer and I'm down to
using just one of the two beaters - needless to say that doesn't work too well.
Using your
hands, work the ingredients together until well - combined, adding milk a tablespoon at a time to moisten the mixture so that you can get all the dry flour (you can also
use a stand
mixer with the paddle attachment to do this, but I
just prefer to
use my
hands).

You can also do the meringue with a
hand mixer — I have
used one when I made them at someone else's home — it
just takes longer to get the meringue to stiff peaks.

just as it should.
When I see a smoothie this bright I
just know that there are lots of berries
mixed into it, and the brilliant thing about
using them as a base is that if you don't have fresh ones on
hand —
just throw in some frozen berries instead.

mixes the old fashion way, with my
hands!!)

The only things I can think of that I didn't differently:
used homemade veg broth I had in the freezer (I'm vegetarian though my husband isn't and he thought the soup was great)
used mixed dried mushrooms (you can get a large amount from costco for not too much - I keep them on
hand for all my dried mushroom needs) did a healthy glug of sherry (more than the recipe) into the mushrooms when they were done sauteeing added spinach at the end to the soup For the dumplings, the only thing I did that was different than what many would do is
use an egg from one of my hens - other than that I made them
just as other people did but mine were full of flavor and could be eaten plain.

mixer or by
hand,
using a pastry cutter or
just 2 knives.
I didn't
use a food processor — I
just mixed the «dough» by
hand and plopped it on the parchment paper with a spoon.
Knead the dough,
using the dough hook of the electric
mixer, or simply by
hand in the bowl,
just long enough to form the dough into a shaggy loaf — a few turns really is all you need.
I do everything
just like you say (except I
use a
hand mixer), but I have never had dough stiff enough to knead / shape with my
hands.

Just mixing all the wet ingredients with the dry ingredients if kneading by
hand, not much difference from
using the breadmaker.
Instead of a
hand mixer, I
used my stand
mixer with great results —
just scraped down the bowl a few extra times.
Used Trader Joe's riced cauliflower,
just cause I'm lazy and I substituted broccoli for peas and had fresh ginger on
hand mixed that in with the onion mixture.
I don't
use mine anymore because a stand
mixer is so much better for most doughs and batters, but please know that in any recipe where you think it's going to be too much for your
hand mixer,
just mix by
hand!

used coconut almond milk instead of vanilla
just because I had some on
hand, but the coconut butter didn't seem to
mix in super well with the smoothie.

just tried the frosting and it never became fluffy — and I
used a
hand mixer for almost 20 minutes.
This isn't really a recipe, but
just take 1/4 -1 / 2 of your avocado and blend (or
