I just used some ghee last night to toast off some wild rice before cooking.

I
used just the base (cauliflower, zucchini, chicken broth, coconut milk, lemon juice, and
ghee) and made it into cream of chicken soup.
Ghee is quite expensive to buy normally and some folks must
use it instead of butter for allergy reasons, so what a great frugal idea to
just make it instead!
Although if the butter does change color, you get
Ghee (clarified butter) which is
just notorious for the amount of saturated fats, it can be had in moderation, not that you're going to keel over in a day:)-RRB- The point of the bechamel is the purity of the white color to resemble creaminess and all the good stuff, so I can see why one would want to restart
using fresh butter if the color does change.
But
just got one question I live in Chile and here we don't have vegan shortening so can I
use ghee instead?
I have
just baked these and couldnt wait for them to cool before trying, they are lovely I did nt have
ghee so I
used grass fed butter and they taste great thank you
Just wanted to comment on this to say I
used 2 TBSP of
ghee instead of honey, and they turned out great.
If you do better with
Ghee then there is no problem
just using that instead!
If you have
ghee kicking around (which is more or less a version of clarified butter), you can skip this part and
just melt your
ghee and
use it straight on your popcorn.
You can also
use butter or
ghee, these
just won't be vegan!
Just omit the tablespoon of
ghee and
use that for frying the pancakes in a skillet instead.
I do still
use coconut oil and
ghee occasionally too but AVK avocado is my go - to for
just about anything from tossing roasting veggies to heating a skillet for eggs or stir - fry and homemade salad dressings.

just ordered some off their website and it comes with a cool little pamphlet all about their grassfed
ghee and methods
used.
First, you shouldn't be
using ghee because
ghee is dairy, it's a «purer» form of butter, but any form of butter is
just concentrated dairy.
I
used almond butter to add moisture, but you can
use any nut butter, butter,
ghee, or vegan buttery spread (
just make sure it's not «light» or «whipped»).
I have also now switched from
using coconut oil to
ghee but that is
just because I like
ghee better.
Just use coconut oil instead of
ghee for the oleation and
use prune juice instead of Epsom salt for the laxative.
I haven't actually
used butter in this one (I always have tons of
ghee around), but I am sure it will be
just fine.
Most people make their
ghee using salt butter, but when you only have sweet butter,
just prepare your
ghee the same way.
