We always welcome the opportunity to engage in dialogue with Government and other
justice system participants on the issues and challenges facing the justice system.

justice demands change and action
on a very broad range of initiatives — pro bono work by the private bar, fair and adequate funding of legal aid, collaboration among all
system participants (clients, lawyers, courts, agencies, NGO's), legal education (and its financing), e-filing and case data standards, court forms, court interfaces to self - represented litigants, unbundled legal services, virtual law practice, multistate practice, law practice ownership and investment, limited practice licenses, unauthorized practice of law rules, lawyer advertising rules, and lawyer discipline.
With various empirical and theoretical initiatives starting in 1996 with the Cyberjustice Tribunal and ongoing to this day, we continuously centered our methodology
on understanding the needs of the
participants of the
System of
Justice in order to innovate, test, propose and build approaches that are consequential to the deployment environment.

Participants explored the
justice system from the «user» perspective and approach access to
justice as a hands -
on design challenge — they gathered the information needed
on how the
justice system works, imagined how best to respond to the gaps and weaknesses of the current
system, and had to develop a prototype that will improve it.
In her thoughtful reasons
on behalf of the Court,
Justice Karakatsanis emphasized the need for
participants in the
system to ensure that timely, efficient and proportionate procedures are used and tailored to the individual case.
This cluster brings together a range of family
justice system participants to address the impact of frivolous and vexatious litigants
on court processes and the subsequent shortage of qualified custody and access assessors.
Such an expert can do much damage without effective oversight by those who must provide it and constant vigilance
on the part of the
participants in the criminal
justice system who can protect the
system against flawed expert evidence.
