Almost anyone who regularly toils in courthouses across Ontario — judges, prosecutors and defence lawyers — would say that despite previous
rulings on delays from the Supreme Court and judicial warnings from lower courts, successive federal and provincial governments have failed to properly resource the
justice system in a way that would ensure its fairness and efficiency.
