Sadly, one of my twins was just diagnosed with
Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis.
So one of my twins was recently diagnosed with
Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis.
Those diseases are: systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE), multiple sclerosis (MS), rheumatoid arthritis (RA),
juvenile idiopathic arthritis (JIA), inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), celiac disease, and type 1 diabetes.
A team of scientists and doctors from the SingHealth Duke - NUS Academic Medical Centre (AMC) has uncovered a new group of regulatory T (Treg) cells and DNA features associated with
juvenile idiopathic arthritis (JIA), the most common form of arthritis among children under the age of 16.
The signature also distinguished bacterial infection from childhood inflammatory diseases, systemic lupus erythematosus,
juvenile idiopathic arthritis, and discriminated bacterial from viral infection in published adult studies.
Juvenile idiopathic arthritis, or JIA, is the most common form of childhood arthritis.
Non-biologic DMARDs may be continued throughout the perioperative period in patients with rheumatoid arthritis, spondyloarthritis,
juvenile idiopathic arthritis and lupus undergoing elective hip or knee replacement.
The medication guidelines concern adults with rheumatoid arthritis; spondyloarthritis, including ankylosing spondylitis and psoriatic arthritis;
juvenile idiopathic arthritis; and lupus undergoing hip or knee replacement.

In follow - up analyses, the investigators used RELI to probe regulatory genes associated with other autoimmune diseases and found that EBNA2 bound to genes associated with the risk for multiple sclerosis, rheumatoid arthritis, inflammatory bowel disease, type 1 diabetes,
juvenile idiopathic arthritis and celiac disease.
In the current study, the researchers found that EBNA2 and its related transcription factors activate some of the human genes associated with the risk for lupus and several other autoimmune diseases, including multiple sclerosis, rheumatoid arthritis, inflammatory bowel disease, type 1 diabetes,
juvenile idiopathic arthritis and celiac disease.
Those diseases include lupus; multiple sclerosis; rheumatoid arthritis;
juvenile idiopathic arthritis; inflammatory bowel disease; celiac disease; and type 1 diabetes.
These include multiple sclerosis, inflammatory bowel disease, rheumatoid arthritis, celiac disease, Type 1 diabetes,
juvenile idiopathic arthritis, and Hashimoto's hypothyroidism.
